March 2nd Carter will be undergoing his 2nd surgery at Children's Hospital Boston. Dr. Bae will be removing his nubin thumb on his little arm and separating his webbed finger on his right hand. Dr. Bae plans to use the skin from his nubin thumb for the skin graft to complete the finger. If there is not enough skin they will take the skin from his groin, ouch!
This is a very simple procedure and should go extremely well. We will probably be in the hospital for the weekend.
I'm very prepared for this surgery since I have already been through it but I can not help but be scared. I guess it must be natural to feel that way. Mike seems to be handling this surgery better than the 1st, I guess we both are.
My mom is taking Chase Thursday and Friday night. Chase is looking forward to it so much. I hope that they will have lots of fun. I hope that Chase will look back on Carter's surgery and remember the people who took care of him during this time. When Carter has his amputation -Chase stayed with Shirley. He always loved to stay with his Nona.......God I miss her........
Speaking of Mom....I picked up her ashes today. I can not help help feeling the finality of her death. Life just isn't meant to be lived without your mother.

Boston/New York
We went to Boston today for Carter's pre-op. Everything went well and it only took 4 hours. This went much faster than we thought. We brought Chase with us and he was absolutely amazing. They were both angels. Chase made a friend in the pre-op department named Storm. He was having a rod put in his leg. Storm is 5 years old and he has osteogenissis imperfecta. Basically every bone in his tiny body is like glass and he has breaks all the time. He has had 23 breaks since birth. He was a very interesting little boy. Some of you might remember the movie "Unbreakable" with Samuel L. Jackson, this movie deals with the disease that Storm has. Chase and Storm played for about 2 hours in the pre-op waiting area. The nice thing about Children's Hospital is that they have great toys in the waiting rooms and it keeps the kids totally entertained. So the countdown begins......surgery is Friday, March 2nd.
Im all packed for NY .... it is 10pm and we are leaving in about 1 hour. Mike is sleeping with the boys and Im making sure I have packed everything including the kitchen sink!!!!!

To Be or not To Be.....
Milton St. 8 pics
That is the question.....will we find the house of our dreams?
Joffre St. was a dump, Big Disappointment!!!!
Rochelle Ave. is nice and definately could be a possibility if the current owner falls through.
Today I re-visted my listings and I have a new list of houses we are going to make appointments for.
7 Reed St. in the center of Goffstown. http://nneren.com/mls_num.php?state=&id=2633158
Im not sure about this one but it is definately worth seeing the inside. Very nice location and the outside looks very decent. A little unsure because the specs state "as is". This to me seems like a red flag, but I'm curious.
483 Milton St. http://nneren.com/view2.php?id=2622721&ref=q&price=$179,900.00&t=
My fav is 483 Milton St.
Mary and I were able to look in the 1st floor windows. Even though this house need sheetrock in 3 rooms it seems all ready to go. Very clean and ready to be sheetrocked and painted. If this is the right house for us - Mike said it would be worth it to do the sheetrocking and painting oursleves. He would ask some of his friends from his old job to help him. The backyard is very nice with an out building. The location is nice off of upper Hanover St. above Belmont St.
Since we leave for NY on Tues, Mrs P is trying to get us an appointment for tomorrow to see Milton St. Tues we go to Boston for pre - op for Carter then we leave at night for a 10 hour trip.......

House Hunting
Joffre St in Goffstown Danis Park Road in Goffstown
Today we looked at a bunch of houses. We drove by and scoped out the land and outside. Next we go see the inside. Our favorite is in Goffstown on Joffre St. It is on a dead end....huge house.....huge yard with woods and an above ground pool. Danis Park rd is nice too. Across the street from Piscataquag River, garage, spacious....looked nice. There were some in manchester that looked really good to. All ncie neighborhoods and good school districts. If I can figure out how to attach the pic to blog I will.

It's Official
It is official we are pre-approved for our mortgage and looking for a house. We are so excited. Tomorrow we are looking in Manchester and Goffstown at some listings that our realtor gave us. If we find any that we really like I will post a picture. Even though we are excited we are very nervous. This is such a big move in our life. I feel like we are making our life come full circle. Man today life is good!!!!!

Found A Peanut!
It's 11:20 pm and I just finished half of a jar of planters honey roated peanuts. What will be my excuse for that binge...? I think I will like blogger but I would like a tutorial from an ol' pro...hint...hint...nudge...nudge... I should be sleeping but does sleeping ever come this close to surgery. My son Carter has surgery on March 2. This will be his 2nd surgery. I do not sleep much around stressful doctor's appointments, and let me say there are a lot of them. Ok venting felt good. Yeah, I think I like blogger....even if I am the only one who reads it.
